I’d try to make it picture perfect. I like stories with happy endings. I wish my mom and dad weren’t getting divorced, but they promised me our family will stay just that; a family. Has anyone ever heard of staying family after divorce? I hope so.
my parents got divorced when i was 10 and they definitely did not stay friends, but i don't get too far from the idea of it being possible. i believe that a family can stay a family even after divorce. You need to be strong and really focus on just giving out love to your parents and helping them to understand the importance of it. Obviously they have the intention of staying close, so its there in there hearts.
I'm so sorry about the pain you must be experiencing. Divorce is quite a life-changing shift. Keep your friends close. Be honest with your parents - even if it hurts to bring up some topics. They love you very much - your opinion matters.
Thanks for the advice, andthisiswhatithink. How can I love them when I feel like they're abandoning me? It feels like they shouldn't give up on their marriage. Isn't it supposed to be "Til death do you part"?
There is no "supposed to be". Life is different for everyone. Trust me, the sooner you realize that life is not this loose formula that must be adhered to, but more of an ocean of possibilities and outcomes, the easier it will get.
I can't wait for the fun things planned for the summer! Hanging out at the lake all day and watching movies with my friends is the best!
I enjoy drawing anything. Trees and water are my favorite to draw.
I love my dog named Frankie. He jumps on me and gives me kisses.
